New Windows 11 Install - "Can't Access the Storage Directory"?

Hello!  Just did a PC upgrade and starting from scratch. While I did copy over "my documents" and other user folders, I am try to do this as a fresh install of LedsMaster. But after uninstalling/reinstalling a few times, I'm making no progress past this error. Any suggestions? Folders I can delete (or check read/write permissions)? Or something in the registry?

Hi,

"Can't Access the Storage Directory" error

Ledsmaster returns this error if regular 'Documents' (c:\Users\<username>\Documents\) directory is not available (meaning the Windows API call failed to return the Documents directory path). Check if Onedrive is activated and currently replaces the regular Documents folder by cloud or its own directory or other apps like antivirus that may change the Documents folder behavior.

Looks like you're correct. But it's being a total pain (even with OneDrive fully removed). Hopefully will figure it out without needing to restart the whole PC setup from scratch. Wish me luck. Thanks.

Fixed it! Had to uninstall and move from default directory to another location (I put it on another drive).

Fixed it! Had to uninstall and move from default directory to another location (I put it on another drive).

Ledsmaster continues to reference your Documents directory even after installation in a custom location. This is likely caused by permission constraints, such as firewall or Windows Defender settings, rather than the installation path itself, which may have lower UAC restrictions compared to the protected Program Files directory.
