Here is a video tutorial by pttmic to get started with custom display (big thanks to pttmic for this great tutorial):

Basic features are demoed like:
- set a background image
- insert several objects
- delete an object
- edit properties of object
- using the zoom minus / plus or Font size increase / decrease
- using arrow left/right and top/bottom to fine tune the position of object in the page
- save your custom display
