Japanese Dials Style Template

Japanese Dials Style Template

Before I discovered Eksimracing I was thinking to buy parts of symprojects which features real gauges for your simracing-hobby. Now I know a little bit more about paint.net and such. I tried to match the quality of Zappadoc. Well see for yourself, hehe. The dials are maybe not so-so great for rallying, but they do their job in circruit-racing. Dials are from the brand DEPO which is based in Japan.

Speedometer + Colour
Rpm + Colour
Boost + Colour

Notes: your template is compatible with VDASH-EMU Android/Windows/Linux and vdash_template/ directory is:
on Android on the storage of your phone/tablet
on Windows on C:\Users\Your-Username\ (Your-Username is your session name)
on Linux on your Home directory

Installation:
- copy both preview image and json template inside your vdash_template/templates/ directory
- then select menu "Set/Load Template" to choose and load it into the current page

Thank you for downloading and have fun,

Rinus

Hey! nice template but not working as you are a Padawan and not yet a Jedi! :)

ok more seriously this is another great template, you must pay attention to this:

images path:
the installation folder is Rinus Depo which is NOT the initial directory used when you exported the template, so you must open the json file with Notepad++ text editor and replace the old path with the new.

solution:
replace the "Random dials" by "Rinus Depo"

or better by "Rinus_Depo" (do not use space in path)
obviously change the folder to "Rinus_Depo" as well in the zip

Image anti-aliasing:
The image object do his best to display the image using an anti-aliasing and other filter BUT you have to provide a good quality image, I suggest to use Photoshop and export the the image with the integrated Web image export menu and choose the PNG24 format
Also, add to your dial a 2 pixels black edge

I'm going to add this info to my tuto, edit your template and upload agin the zip file.
Cheers,
z

in fact, after review you are almost a Jedi! ;)
I have fixed the path of the images and upload the zip but not the edge of your dial images.
Cheers,

“Control, control, you must learn control!”
- Zappadoc

Now I've learned something new again. I always make tiny mistakes like this. I have like 20 years of experience on the pc, but still feel like nub xD

Bought a tiny LCD monitor as dashboard. I only need a active displayport hub for triple screens. So I can go beyond 3 monitors, what I am using now. So soon you can expect more and better dashboards from me. I want to try to simulate real life close as possible.
