Read Before You Ask For Help
Before asking a question in forum (AND NOT IN PM or EMAIL) do the following:
Try to find an answer by searching the archives of the forum.
Try to find an answer by searching the Web (i.e. hardware issue or such ).
Try to find an answer by reading a FAQ (use google translation if needed).
Try to find an answer by inspection or experimentation by yourself.
Try to find an answer by asking a skilled friend.
When you ask your question, display the fact that you have done these things first; this will help establish that you're not being a lazy sponge and wasting people's time. Better yet, display what you have learned from doing these things. We like answering questions for people who have demonstrated they can learn from the answers.
Take your time. Do not expect to be able to solve a complicated problem with a few seconds. Read and understand the FAQs, sit back, relax and give the problem some thought before approaching experts. Trust us, they will be able to tell from your questions how much reading and thinking you did, and will be more willing to help if you come prepared. Don't instantly fire your whole arsenal of questions just because your first search turned up no answers (or too many).
Please note, screenshots and/or Video are sometimes more suitable than words...
Prepare your question. Think it through. Hasty-sounding questions get hasty answers, or none at all. The more you do to demonstrate that having put thought and effort into solving your problem before seeking help, the more likely you are to actually get help.
In general, be clear, concise, complete, and polite. The more clear and concise the information you offer, the faster you can hope to receive a resolution.
Remember that the more respectful and thankful you are to a contributor, the more inclined they will be at helping you out. Finally, once you have received your satisfactory resolution, make sure to spread the word. Other people will often have the same issue. Submit the helpful information to the support forum and mark your topic solved and/or check the best answer. Remember to help others too.
