I just want to know if the unpaused message is reset immediately to paused message during the session (IN car) so you confirm this is working as expected?

Yes.  When I hit resume, this is the same time "Unpaused (311)" appears in debug, and is the same time I can start controlling the car with wheel/pedals again.

In Menu or Paused only happens when I actually am in a menu before a session, or when I have paused the game.

I pushed a new version of the plugin, this time the debug console should display the gear data value. this is a post treatment value which means not the gear from udp packet but this gear value from slimax plugin management that should be display on your SLI-Pro (-1=Reverse 0=Neutral 1 to 8=gear).
Cheers,
z

Gear shifts working great in console.  Did a quick partial lap at COTA so there were plenty of shifts available.

No gear displayed on SLI-PRO still, but maybe that is expected.  I'm assuming we are just testing that the plugin is reading the UDP packets and processing them correctly.  Nothing is passing them on to the actual device yet?

Ill be away for an hour or so, but will try to reply with any new test results you need.  Seems like we are making some good progress!

Hi,
Finally, the plugin was not correct, the remaining bug was simply a "plugin ready" flag that was not set ... it's fixed. Download and replace the plugin to check if it works. Thanks

Still no gear display on SLI-PRO.  Updated plugin.  Last edit time according to file in Windows was 2018-10-31 03:31 Eastern Daylight Time, which aligns with when you posted saying it was ready for testing so I am sure I have the new plugin.

Console still working great displaying gear shifts.

hi, A new version of the plugin is available, the debug console should display "SLI-PRO: Session Started" when you enter track, check if you have this msg. thanks

EDIT: I don't really know why the previous version is not working I double checked the code and this should work...test this new plugin and let me know.

You've done it my friend!  Beautiful display of shift lights, gears, and speed on my dash!

System Time on left, PIT on right when paused -- just what I'd expect!

Congrats!

Thank you for working on this, even though it wasn't a high demand feature.  This is the reason I stay with your software over others.  Your support is unmatched.

FYI -- for anyone using SimVibe or Accuforce, you can set up forwarding of port 7777 from Sim Commander 4 and SLIMax Manager Pro picks up the UDP packets beautifully!  It seems whatever special relationship they seem to have with Microsoft to be able to interface directly with UWP apps might even allow you to use their software to use SLIMax without disabling UWP loopback rules.

It was a great joy to play a little last night with iRacing down and for the first time ever have a working dash, Simvibe, and Accuforce FFB all working at once in perfect harmony!

Hopefully they'll bring this to Forza Horizon 4 soon as well, without changing the structure!

Could I help at all by contributing a cool FM7 "banner" for SLIMax to display instead of the Spa background with the ? when the plugin is running?

thanks. the SPA banner is the official "unknown" banner one and obviously the final version of the FM7 plugin will have its own banner. just so you know, the "universal" Sim Racing Proxy Server (SRPS) will be release very soon to workaround the UDP stream limitation. it works like the Codemasters Proxy server and allows up to 50 devices/apps.

Thanks z!  This is fantastic.  I will give it some testing today.

I will want to build up a slipro_forza7.cfg "Advanced Configuration", probably starting from the "slipro_default.cfg" (which worked great as far as shift light percentages).  Could you provide a list of options for the left display and right display that will work with FM7, or, if it's easier, provide a list of options for those panels that we should NOT attempt to use?

It'd be my pleasure to contribute this config back to be used as a baseline for an autoconfig file for FM7 to include with the eventual "non-Beta" release

Great news also about the Sim Racing Proxy Server application!  This will be wonderful for users in need of a solution for multiple devices to share one broadcast port.  SimCommander 4 luckily includes this support for Codemasters and Forza titles and it works perfectly with the default settings for this plugin, but for users of things like Open Sim Wheel, SimTools, etc. this will certainly be a welcome addition!

Hi,

thanks for sharing. no plan to release a special setup with FM7 so feel free to create a topic in SLIMax Mgr Pro support if you want to share your car setups with us. glad if you're happy with your simcmd 4 solution.

EKSIMRacing Codemasters Proxy Server CMPS exists since 2012 and is much more powerful than any udp forwarders IMO, the Sim Racing Proxy Server (SRPS) is out now and can be used with any games to forward in real time udp stream to up to 50 devices or apps.

NEW Sim racing Proxy Server (universal solution to forward udp stream to multiple devices or app on your network):
https://www.eksimracing.org/srps/

CM Proxy Server for Codemasters games and to mix and dispatch easily multiple API versions:
https://www.eksimracing.org/cmps/

all these apps are free but donation are welcome. ;)

z

I have Thrustmaster TS-PC Ferrari 488 Edition and I really want those LEDs on rim to work (as shiftlight)
Can't do so far. Followed all guidelines and SLIMax Manager Pro can detect FH4 as a sim racing app.
Plugin activated. Data out, IP, Port all set.
But those lights still don't flash a bit.
Is there any thing need to be done? Thanks a lot.

Hello,

Forza Horizon 4 beta plugin is still untested but "should" work fine (who knows!) :), the default port is set to 9999. UDP transport between SLIMax Mgr Pro and the game must be allowed by your firewall and unfortunately there's a big problem with "some" Windows 10 version preventing UDP to work properly (due to the "network isolation" of UWP app)...
also, this is really a game, a lot of steering wheel and pedals set are not supported and the API is poor and not officially endorsed by MS... we are providing this beta plugin "as is" so we hope you will find a way to make it work.

Hi Ronarch,

Thanks for the test, a new version of FH4 plugin is available which fix the network UDP binding, just give it a try and report if it works or not for you. Thanks.

I'm using a TS-PC with the 488 wheel & am trying to get the LEDs on the wheel rim to work. Not sure if this feature is available yet.

I followed the instructions as set my port to 7777 in game settings with my IP. On the Manager Pro, I used 127.0.0.1 with port 7777. Am I doing this wrong? Also, is the output telemetry data format support to be SLED (in game)?

I also receive this error when trying to update the software and cannot install these. I moved the 2 files in the directory for the FM7 plugin, like the instructions.

Hello,

thanks for your report, please thanks to stay on topic (i.e. forza plugins) and create a new one if you need assistance.

[OFF TOPIC START]
> receive this error when trying to update the software

This is NOT an error from the auto-updater, these files contain YOUR OWN custom settings and are protected so that they can't be overwritten during normal update operations, use the Advanced Options tab to force update those files or to revert to default settings, attention, all your changes will be lost.
[OFF TOPIC END]

back to your report, fm7 works fine with the shiftlights (rev led) of your 488 wheel but your settings need to be fixed:

the IP should be ALSO the localhost in forza game settings because you're running it on your PC not on a Game Console

config with PC running Forza 7 and SLIMax Mgr Pro with your TSPC loaded with your FErrari 488 wheel
everything is recognized by Windows and obviously by SLIMax Manager Pro
Forza 7 plugin ACTIVATED and with default settings:

IP: 127.0.0.1
port: 7777

Forza 7 game settings
UDP telemetry allowed
IP: 127.0.0.1
port: 7777

check your UDP configuration,
test F7 with SLIMax Mgr Pro + your TSPC 488 ferrari wheel ONLY,
no other app should poll the same 7777 UDP port
check your firewall rules or disable it as you may encounter the MS bug related to "network loopback isolation" of UWP apps... FM7 is unfortunately an MS UWP app...
restart your PC after any firewall settings change

Hope this helps
Regards,
EKSIMRacing Team

Unfortunately, still no luck.

I've disabled my firewall entirely and restarted my PC. I tried using a different port in case 7777 was used. When testing the rim in the SLIMax Manager, the lights do come on.

Hello,

reading the recommendation the game settings DATA PACKET FORMAT must be "CAR DASH" and not "SLED"...

Hi,

Reminder: The Forza series plugins are still experimental, the API/telemetry is not official... FM7 is an UWP app (wiki is your friend ;) ) and suffers from MS "network loopback isolation" bug. Some guys seem to workaround this bug by launching the app in normal mode and not admin mode...

A new version of the FM7 plugin is available for download, I recompiled the plugin with a little change in the UDP packet which may help... hope so.
Cheers,
z

Hi, FH5 plugin is out and UNSUPPORTED!
same rectrictions/limitations as the others Forza plugins: poor API, network isolation issue, port forwarding needed in some configuration...

Good luck! ;)
