Quick Tuto for Assetto Corsa with ButtonBox tutorial

Don't start with this tutorial, you must first be familiar with VDASH-EMU features and SLIMax Manager custom setups, Also, you must read and understand the basic rules about the buttonbox and the SLIMax Manager Pro Advanced Options panel by reading this sticky:

OKay so you have read all these basic instructions and as you see, the buttonBox can be used to drive your USB devices or EMUlators but also your game or simulation. This simply done by sending MACRO (sequence of keyboard keys) to the simulation. these keyboard keys are define (assigned) in the settings of the game or simulation AND in VDASH-EMU setup.

This tutorial is a base for building your own buttonbox and takes as an example the Assetto Corsa simulation.

Let start to define de keys in the Controls settings of Assetto Corsa:



you need to set the checkbox to enable Keyboard Input:

Now we have set the Brake Bias input keys in Assetto Corsa, we need to do the same on our VDASH-EMU Controls in setup using SLIMax Manager Pro advanced Options.

First we need to choose the controls that manage the Brake Bias on the VDASH-EMU buttonbox. We choose the second encoder:



we get the corresponding input index of the VDASH-EMU buttonbox
 (the index of controls are displayed in EDITOR MODE )

Now we have the targeted input index which is the second encoder input 27 and 28. We start to EXPORT our setup to create a new one and edit it to map the keyboard keys to these 2 inputs:




EXPORT setup to create a new one:






Edit CONTROLS to activate buttons mapping and set input keys (same as Assetto Corsa = J and K ):










Select the new car setup:

that's it!

Launch Assetto Corsa, hit the keyboard keys J and K to see if the brake bias change if everything is ok, then touch the Encoder of your VDASH-EMU Buttonbox to change the Brake bias of your car.
