Template for enhanced Mercedes W07 F1, rFactor2
« on: March 25, 2018, 12:34:42 AM »

This is my rFactor2 template for the Mercedes W07 wheel I built.  This template was designed for the simrace-lcd display but should also work well for any LCD.  I have added flags for pit limiter, damage, etc. which are all tweaked to fit the display layout without obstructing other critical information.

INSTALLATION VDASH-EMU:
- Extract the zip on desktop
- Copy the .json files  and the preview png files into /vdash_template/templates/ directory
- Select Set/Load Template... menu on a new page for each of the two pages to load the templates into VDASH-EMU

*Note - in order to switch pages in your sim be sure to go to vdash-emu advanced settings, then DISPLAY/CONTROLS/VDASHEMU and assign a button or control for btn_next_vdash_display and or btn_prev_vdash_display.

Thanks Z.  I based them on what I could find of the real W07 layout and just tried to provide a bit more data without cluttering them up too much and keeping with the sort of very flat look they use in the real car.

I wish it was easier to find images of the real setups they use... but I guess they want to keep most of that stuff a big secret.

I just posted my updated version of the W07 template.  I added tire wear indicators on page 2 and made a few tweaks to page 1 to hopefully be more clear on the brake balance and fuel gauges.

thanks for the update Gwen (template published on the website).

And just so you know some users disply this kind of template on 24" monitor not just tiny LCD ;)

Thanks Z.  I understand, though my pages are designed for a 4.3" diagonal display like the real steering wheel has so I have to keep them fairly decluttered and use large fonts for readability. =)

Updated again to V3.  I fixed temp ranges on page 2 to more accurate levels for F1 in rFactor2.  Also rearranged a few items on both pages for better readability.
